San Miguel de Salinas is a nice Spanish village near the Mediterranean Sea and a popular municipality in Alicante, Valencia just 15 minutes' drive from the beaches of Mil Palmeras, Campoamor, Cabo Roig, La Zenia, Torrevieja, La Mata, Guardamar, etc. The protected area of Sierra Escalona is just a short walk from the centre of the village. You can walk or cycle for many kilometres along the irrigation canal that runs through the village. Around San Miguel there are citrus, cherry and almond plantations.
